The Murcia Regional Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs recognises the business achievements, forward-thinking vision and contribution to the development of the sector made by Francisco Muñoz Soriano, founder and chairman of INURBAN and Grupo Tenepa.

At Inurban, we are particularly proud to celebrate the recognition of our chairman and founder, Francisco Muñoz Soriano, who has been awarded the 2026 Construction Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Murcia Regional Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs (FRECOM).

This award, one of the most prestigious honours in the construction sector in the Region of Murcia, recognises a business career spanning more than five decades, characterised by hard work, perseverance, the capacity for transformation and a firm commitment to the future.

The award forms part of the 37th edition of the FRECOM Construction Awards, which this year coincides with the Federation’s 50th anniversary. The awards ceremony will take place on 15 October.

A business career built on hard work and a vision for the future

Francisco Muñoz Soriano’s business career began in 1968 with the founding of LYMSA in Yecla, a company initially specialising in metal structures.

That first project marked the beginning of a journey which, over the years, would give rise to a diversified family-run business group, capable of evolving, identifying new opportunities and taking on increasingly large-scale projects.

As founder and chairman of INURBAN and Grupo Tenepa, Francisco Muñoz has spearheaded initiatives in a range of areas, from the development of industrial and logistics projects to the creation of business parks and high-quality residential buildings.

His entrepreneurial vision has enabled the group to expand its activities into other areas, such as investment vehicle management and the healthcare sector, through the CLERN Clinic, which specialises in neurological rehabilitation.

This capacity for diversification reflects a business philosophy based on initiative, innovation and the constant search for new opportunities to create value.

A tribute to the values that are at the heart of Inurban

In its assessment, the FRECOM jury highlighted Francisco Muñoz Soriano’s business legacy, which is built on three fundamental pillars: hard work, vision and a commitment to the future.

These values form part of Inurban’s identity and continue to guide the way we approach each project.

Throughout our history, we have remained firmly committed to developing spaces that meet the needs of businesses, individuals and society, combining experience, quality and a long-term perspective.

That is why this recognition means so much more than just an individual award. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the journey we have taken, the commitment of the people who have been part of our history, and the enthusiasm with which we continue to tackle new challenges.

The FRECOM Awards 2026: a celebration of entrepreneurial talent

This year’s FRECOM Awards are particularly significant as they coincide with the Federation’s 50th anniversary; an organisation that has been representing and defending the interests of the construction sector in the Region of Murcia for half a century.

Alongside Francisco Muñoz Soriano, the Federation has recognised other outstanding companies and professionals, including González Soto, which was named Construction Company of the Year, and Consuelo Bernal, CEO of IBERCOFRAN, who was awarded the Women in Construction Award.

These awards reflect the strength, diversity and talent of the regional business community, as well as the importance of a sector that makes a decisive contribution to economic and social development.

We continue to build the future

For the whole Inurban team, this recognition is a source of pride and an incentive to continue working with the same dedication and commitment that have characterised our journey.

Francisco Muñoz Soriano’s entrepreneurial vision, which began more than five decades ago, continues to shape the way we approach the future: with ambition, responsibility and confidence in the value of projects carried out to a high standard.

We at Inurban would like to extend our most sincere congratulations to Francisco Muñoz Soriano on this well-deserved recognition, which encourages us to keep moving forward, creating opportunities and building the future.
