Inurban and HLA Lucentum Alicante: A sports day in support of Kapaces

At Inurban we firmly believe in the transformative power of sport, not only as entertainment, but also as a tool capable of promoting integration and social inclusion. That is why, on 18 January, we had the privilege of collaborating with Kapaces, the Yecla Association for the Independent Living of People with Functional Diversity, in an unforgettable activity that celebrated the values of unity, diversity and self-improvement.
The event took place in the emblematic Pedro Ferrándiz pavilion in Alicante, where Kapaces users enjoyed a front row seat to the exciting basketball match between HLA Lucentum Alicante and Naturavia Morón. Although the final score - a resounding victory for the home team - generated great emotions, the most important thing was the inclusive spirit that marked the whole day.

Beyond the Scoreboard: A Celebration of Inclusion

From the warm welcome from HLA Lucentum Alicante to the vibrant energy in the stands, every moment of the day stood out for its ability to bring people from different backgrounds together through sport.
One of the most emotional moments of the afternoon came during half-time of the game, when the Kapaces boys and girls took to the court to shoot hoops. Their shots, enthusiastically applauded by the entire pavilion, became a celebration of diversity and a reminder of the positive impact that activities like this can have on people.
The applause, laughter and hugs shared in the Ferrándiz were the perfect soundtrack for a day that strengthened the bonds between the attendees, the local team and the community in general.
