The NGO Cirugía Solidaria, with which it collaborates with Inurban, has conducted a health campaign in the north of Senegal.
In this latest raid, a total of 34 medical specialists were deployed to the National Hospital in the Senegalese town of Dahra - with a population of around 30,000 - located in the Louga region in the north of the country.
This project has been the return to Africa of this group of health professionals from the Region of Murcia after the pandemic where many of these specialists have decided to join the trip using their holidays and their own resources. During this last expedition, which lasted about 15 days, a total of 350 interventions were carried out and more than 1000 patients were seen.
The projects that this non-profit association implements on the African continent are mainly general surgery, gynaecology, maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery and paediatric surgery, but also include other services such as internal medicine, paediatrics and nursing.
Moreover, the work carried out by this NGO does not end there. They are dedicated to health promotion and to training professionals in the hospitals they visit.
At Inurban we are committed to and carry out corporate social responsibility actions with associations that promote health development and help to improve the quality of life of the most disadvantaged people.
