Spar will open a new supermarket in the Parque de Medianas ‘La Corchera’

Líder Aliment, partner and distributor of the Spar brand in Seville, Badajoz, Córdoba, Cádiz, Cáceres and Huelva, will open a new EUROSPAR centre in the city of Mérida at the end of the year, in commercial premises owned by Inurban. This will be the company's second establishment in the capital of Extremadura.

The commercial premises are located within the Parque de Medianas ‘La Corchera’ in Mérida, between the streets Comarca de la Vera, Calle Llanos de Olivenza and Avenida Pitágoras. This new establishment has a sales area of 1,700 square metres and will offer its customers more than 6,200 product references. It also has 60 private parking spaces plus a further 150 shared with the retail park.

Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2022

The new commercial space will be available for the last quarter of the year and represents a further step in Lider Aliment's strategic plan, which envisages the opening of 10 franchised centres by 2022.

The Parque de medianas ‘La Corchera’, with a commercial area of approximately 11,400 m², continues to consolidate its position as one of the most important commercial centres in the Extremadura capital thanks to the confidence of firms such as Líder Aliment, partner and distributor of the Spar brand, a globally recognised organisation with a presence in 40 countries and more than 12,000 shops.
